There were white and violet linen curtains fastened with cords of fine linen and purple on silver rods and marble pillars; and the couches were of gold and silver on a mosaic pavement of red, turquoise, and pearl and black marble.

I have spread my bed with coverings, with striped cloths of linen from Egypt.

I have sprinkled my bed with myrrh, aloes and cinnamon.

On a lofty and high mountain you have set your bed; even there you went up to offer sacrifice.

And they lie down beside every altar on garments taken in pledge, and drink the wine of those being punished in the house of their God.

who lie on beds of ivory and stretch themselves on their couches; and those eating the lambs from the flock, and calves from the midst of the stall;

They shall enter My sanctuary, and they shall come near My table to serve Me, and they shall keep My charge.

But you are those who forsake Jehovah, who forget My holy mountain, who prepare a table for Fortune, and who furnish the drink offering to Fate.

You offer defiled food on My altar, and say, In what way have we defiled You? By saying, The table of Jehovah is to be held in contempt.

And you took your embroidered garments and covered them, and you set My oil and My incense before them.

Also My food which I gave you; the fine flour, oil, and honey which I fed you; you set it before them as a soothing aroma; and so it was, says the Lord Jehovah.

But we will prepare and do whatever goes forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense to the Queen of Heaven, and to pour out drink offerings to her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our rulers, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem. For she did not know that I gave her grain and wine and oil, and I multiplied her silver and the gold which they prepared for Baal.

Therefore I will return and take away My grain in its time, and My wine in its season. And I will take back My wool and My linen given to cover her nakedness.
