Son of man, has not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said to you, What are you doing?

Say, I am a sign to you. As I have done, so shall it be done to them; they shall go into exile, into captivity.

Then I said, Ah, Lord Jehovah! They say of me, Does he not speak parables?

And the people said to me, Will you not tell us what these things signify to us, that you behave so?

Disaster will come upon disaster, and rumor will be upon rumor. Then they will seek a vision from a prophet; but the Law will perish from the priest, and counsel from the elders.

therefore thus says Jehovah the God of Israel: Behold, I am bringing such evil upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whoever hears of it, both his ears shall tingle.

And it was told to the house of David, saying, Syria is allied with Ephraim. And his heart was moved, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the forest are swayed by the wind.

From the time that it goes out it shall take you; for morning by morning it shall pass over, by day and by night; and it shall be a terror just to understand the report.

Thus says Jehovah, Behold, a people comes from the land of the north, and a great nation shall be aroused from the extremities of the earth.

We have heard the rumor of it; our hands become feeble; anguish has taken hold of us, and pain, as of a woman in labor.

Concerning Damascus: Hamath and Arpad are put to shame, for they have heard bad news. Their hearts have melted; the sea is anxious; it cannot be quiet.

Then the chiefs of Edom have been dismayed; the mighty men of Moab, trembling takes hold of them; all the inhabitants of Canaan have melted away.

And the officers shall speak further to the people, and say, What man is there who is fearful and faint-hearted? Let him go and return to his house, that the heart of his brethren not melt like his heart.

and said to the men: I know that Jehovah has given you the land, that the terror of you has fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land have melted before you.

And as soon as we heard these things, our hearts melted; neither did there remain any more courage in anyone because of you, for Jehovah your God, He is God in the heavens above and on earth beneath.

So it was, when all the kings of the Amorites who were on the west side of the Jordan, and all the kings of the Canaanites who were by the sea, heard that Jehovah had dried up the waters of the Jordan before the children of Israel until we had crossed over, that their heart melted; and there was no spirit in them any longer because of the children of Israel.

And even he who is valiant, whose heart is like the heart of a lion, will faint and melt away. For all Israel knows that your father is a mighty man, and those who are with him are valiant men.

She is empty, desolate, and waste. And the heart is melted, and the knees knocking; and trembling is in all the loins; and all of their faces are flushed.

Surely you have instructed many, and you have strengthened weak hands.

Your words have upheld him who was stumbling, and you have strengthened the feeble knees.

Make the weak hands strong, and make the feeble knees secure.

The king of Babylon has heard the report of them, and his hands became feeble. Anguish has taken hold of him, and pangs as of a woman in labor.

men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

Therefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees,

And as for those of you who are left, I will send faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; the sound of a driven leaf shall cause them to flee; they shall flee as though fleeing from a sword, and they shall fall when no one is pursuing.

Therefore all hands shall be faint, and every man's heart shall melt;

I would comfort myself against sorrow, my heart is faint within me.

Our heart is faint because of this; our eyes are dim because of these things.

Every hand will be feeble, and every knee will be as weak as water.

And you, son of man, thus says the Lord Jehovah to the land of Israel: An end! The end has come upon the four corners of the land.

My eye will not spare you, nor will I have pity; but I will repay your ways, and your abominations will be in your midst; then you shall know that I am Jehovah!

An end has come, the end has come; it has awakened against you; behold, it has come!

Now upon you I will soon pour out My fury, and spend My anger upon you; I will judge you according to your ways, and I will repay you for all your abominations.

Behold, the day! Behold, it has come! Morning has gone forth; the staff has blossomed, pride has budded.

The time has come, the day draws near. Let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn, for wrath is upon all their multitude.

Son of man, what is this proverb that you people have about the land of Israel, which says, The days are prolonged, and every vision fails?

For no more shall there be any false vision or flattering divination within the house of Israel.

Again the Word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord Jehovah: None of My words will be drawn out any more, but the word which I speak will be done, declares the Lord Jehovah.

But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be of sound mind and calm in your prayers.
