Therefore say to the sons of Israel: I am Jehovah; I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, I will rescue you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments.

I will take you to Myself as a people, and I will be God to you. And you shall know that I am Jehovah your God, who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.

You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles' wings and brought you unto Myself.

And you shall be unto Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words which you shall speak unto the children of Israel.

And because He has loved your fathers, therefore He chose their seed after them and brought you out of Egypt before Him with His mighty power,

For you are a holy people unto Jehovah your God; Jehovah your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure out of all the peoples upon the face of the earth.

For you are a holy people unto Jehovah your God, and Jehovah has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.

Blessed is the nation whose God is Jehovah; the people He has chosen for His possession.

But you, Israel, are My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham, My friend;

whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called you and set you apart. And I said to you, You are My servant; I have chosen you, and not cast you away.

You are My witnesses, says Jehovah, and My servant whom I have chosen; that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me no god was formed, nor shall there be after Me.

Yet hear now, O Jacob My servant, and Israel whom I have chosen;

Thus says Jehovah who made you, and formed you from the womb, who will help you; Fear not, O Jacob My servant, and you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.

Do you not consider what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which Jehovah has chosen, He has even cast them off? Thus they have despised My people, that they should no more be a nation before them.

And unless the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh would be kept safe alive; but because of the elect, whom He chose, He has shortened the days.

So I also raised My hand and swore to them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, the glory of all the earth,

And I raised My hand and swore to those in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the nations and disperse them throughout the earth,

And you shall inherit it equally with one another; for I raised My hand and swore to give it to your fathers, and this land shall fall to you as your inheritance.

But Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have raised my hand to Jehovah the Most High God, possessor of the heavens and earth,

For I raise My hand to the heavens, and say, As I live forever,

And the angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised up his hand to Heaven

therefore, as I live, declares the Lord Jehovah, I will do according to your anger and according to the envy which you showed in your hatred against them; and I will make Myself known among them when I judge you.

And I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and broad land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites.

And the people believed. And when they heard that Jehovah had visited the children of Israel and that He had given attention to their affliction, they bowed down and prostrated themselves.

Or has God ever tried to go and take for Himself a nation from the midst of another nation, by trials, by signs, by wonders, by war, by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, and by great terrors, according to all that Jehovah your God has done for you in Egypt before your eyes?

Know today that I am not speaking with your children, who have not known and who have not seen the chastening of Jehovah your God, His greatness and His mighty hand and His outstretched arm;

what He did to the army of Egypt, to their horses and their chariots: how He made the waters of the Red Sea overflow them as they pursued you, and how Jehovah destroyed them to this day;

and what He has done to Dathan and Abiram the sons of Eliab, the son of Reuben: how the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, their houses, their tents, and all the substance at their feet, in the midst of all Israel;

He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel.

Moreover He said, I am the God of your fathers; the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God.

Go and gather the elders of Israel together, and say to them, Jehovah the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared to me, saying, I have surely visited you and seen what is being done to you in Egypt;

I am Jehovah your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

You shall have no other gods before Me.
