Then he took some of the seed of the land and planted it in a fertile field; he placed it by abundant waters and set it like a willow tree.

And the king of Babylon made Mattaniah, his uncle, king in his place, and changed his name to Zedekiah.

And King Zedekiah the son of Josiah reigned instead of Coniah the son of Jehoiakim, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had made king in the land of Judah.

And he also rebelled against King Nebuchadnezzar, who had adjured him by God; but he stiffened his neck and hardened his heart against turning to Jehovah the God of Israel.

And though they say, As Jehovah lives; surely they swear falsely.

And he carried Jehoiachin captive to Babylon. The king's mother, the king's wives, his officials, and the mighty ones of prominence of the land he carried into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.

All the men of valor, seven thousand, and craftsmen and smiths, one thousand, all who were strong and fit for war, these the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon.

Jehovah caused me to see, and behold, two baskets of figs set before the temple of Jehovah (after Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had taken captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, and the rulers of Judah, with the craftsmen and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon);

(After Jeconiah the king, and the queen mother, and the officials, the rulers of Judah and Jerusalem, and the craftsmen, and the smiths, had departed from Jerusalem.)
