And utter a parable to the rebellious house, and say to them, Thus says the Lord Jehovah: Put on a pot, set it on, and also pour water into it.
4
Gather pieces of meat into it, every good piece, the thigh and the shoulder. Fill it with choice cuts;
5
take the choice of the flock. Also pile bones under it, boil it to boiling, and let the cuts simmer in it.
6
Therefore thus says the Lord Jehovah: Woe to the bloody city, to the pot whose scum is in it, and whose scum is not gone from it! Bring it out piece by piece. Let no lot fall on it.
7
For her blood is in her midst; she set it on top of a rock; she did not pour it on the ground, to cover it with dust.
8
That it may raise up fury and take vengeance, I have set her blood on top of a rock, that it may not be covered.
9
Therefore thus says the Lord Jehovah: Woe to the bloody city! I too will make the pyre great.
10
Heap on the wood, kindle the fire; cook the flesh well, mix in the spices, and let the bones be burned.
11
Then set the pot empty on the coals, that it may become hot and its bronze may burn, that its filthiness may be melted in it, that its scum may be consumed.
12
She has grown weary with toil, and her great scum has not gone from her. Let her scum be in the fire!
13
In your filthiness is lewdness. Because I have cleansed you, and you were not cleansed, you will not be cleansed of your filthiness anymore, till I have caused My fury to rest upon you.

You who hate good and love evil, who tear their skin off them, and their flesh from off their bones;

And go! Come to the captives, to the children of your people, and speak to them and tell them, Thus says the Lord Jehovah, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear.
2 Kings 25:18-22

And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, Zephaniah the second priest, and the three doorkeepers.

He also took out of the city an official who had charge of the men of war, five men who were found in the city who looked after the king's presence, the chief marshal of the army who mustered the people of the land, and sixty men of the people of the land who were found in the city.

So Nebuzaradan, captain of the guard, took these and brought them to the king of Babylon at Riblah.
21
And the king of Babylon struck them and put them to death at Riblah in the land of Hamath. Thus Judah was carried away captive from its land.
22
And he made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, governor over the people who remained in the land of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had left.

He also took out of the city an official who was in charge of the men of war; and seven men from those who were close to the king, who were found in the city; and the chief scribe of the army, who mustered the people of the land; and sixty men of the people of the land, who were found in the middle of the city.

And the king of Babylon struck them and put them to death at Riblah in the land of Hamath. Thus Judah was taken captive out of his own land.
