I was at ease, but He has shattered me; He also has taken hold on my neck, and dashed me to pieces; He has set me up for His target.

His archers surround me; He pierces my heart and does not pity; He pours out my gall on the ground.

Now consider this, you who forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be no one to deliver.

Therefore a lion out of the forest shall kill them, and a wolf of the deserts shall destroy them; a leopard shall watch over their cities. Everyone who goes out from there shall be torn in pieces, because their transgressions are many and their backslidings are increased.

You are My battle-ax and weapons of war; for with you I will shatter nations; and with you I will destroy kingdoms.

Also with you I will shatter man and woman; and with you I will shatter old and young; and with you I will shatter the young man and the maiden.

And the fourth kingdom shall be as strong as iron. Inasmuch as iron breaks in pieces and shatters all things, and like iron that crushes all these, it will break in pieces and crush.

And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly broken.

And in the days of these kings, the God of Heaven shall set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed. And the kingdom shall not be left to other people. It shall break in pieces and bring all these kingdoms to an end, and it shall stand forever.

And he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom on earth, which shall be different from all other kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall trample it down and break it in pieces.

And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles, in the midst of many peoples, like a lion among the beasts of the forest, like a young lion among the flocks of sheep, who both tramples and tears in pieces if he passes through, and there is no one to deliver.

Come, and let us return to Jehovah. For He has torn, and He will heal us. He has stricken, and He will bind us up.

From above He has sent fire into my bones and it has laid them low. He has spread a net for my feet; He has turned me back; He has made me desolate and faint all the day.

But now He has exhausted me; you have devastated my company.

And her gates shall lament and mourn; and she shall sit desolate on the ground.

O Jerusalem, be instructed, lest My soul depart from you; lest I make you desolate, a land not inhabited.

I will take up a weeping and a wailing for the mountains, and a lamentation for the pastures of the wilderness; because they are burned up, so that no one can pass through them; nor can men hear the voice of the cattle. Both the birds of the heavens and the beasts have fled; they are gone.

And I will make Jerusalem a heap of ruins, a den of dragons; and I will make the cities of Judah a desolation, without inhabitant.

And I will make this city a desolation and a hissing. Everyone who passes by shall be amazed and shall hiss because of all its plagues.

And fields shall be bought in this land of which you say, It is desolate, without man or beast; it has been given into the hand of the Chaldeans.

Behold, your house is left to you desolate.

And they threw dust on their heads and cried out, weeping and wailing, and saying, Alas, alas, that great city, in which all who had ships on the sea became rich by her wealth! For in one hour she is made desolate.
