And Jehovah said to me, The prophets prophesy lies in My name; I did not send them, nor have I commanded them, nor did I speak to them. They prophesy to you a false vision and a worthless divination, and a thing of no value, and the deceit of their heart.

I have heard what the prophets have said, who prophesy lies in My name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.

How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets who prophesy lies? Indeed, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart,

Your prophets have seen vain and foolish things for you, and they have not uncovered your iniquity, to bring back your captives; but they have seen false utterances and causes of banishment for you.

They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, Jehovah declares! But Jehovah has not sent them; yet they hope that their word may be confirmed.

Her heads judge for a bribe, and her priests teach for pay, and her prophets divine for money; yet they lean on Jehovah, saying, Is not Jehovah among us? No evil can come upon us.

Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.

Even so, every good tree produces excellent fruit, but a corrupt tree produces evil fruit.

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ.

Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.

But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.

And many will follow their destructive ways, through whom the way of truth will be blasphemed.

who say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Do not prophesy to us right things, speak to us smooth things, prophesy deception;

turn away from the path, thrust aside from the way, desist from the Holy One of Israel from before us.

Do not prophesy as you prophesy, you say. So they shall not prophesy to you; they shall not take away reproaches.

If a man walks with a spirit of deception and lies saying, I will prophesy to you for wine and for strong drink, he shall even be a prophet for this people.

And this is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil.

But the one doing the truth comes to the Light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been worked in God.

The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders,

And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own lusts, desiring to hear pleasant things, they will heap up for themselves teachers;

and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to myths.

And you, what will you do when you are ruined? Though you dress with crimson, though you put on ornaments of gold, though you make your eyes large with paint, you shall make yourself beautiful in vain; your lovers will despise you; they will seek your life.

For I have heard a voice as of a woman in labor, the anguish as of one bearing her first child, the voice of the daughter of Zion, gasping and spreading her hands, saying, Woe to me now! For my soul is weary because of murderers.

The wind shall eat up all your shepherds, and your lovers shall go into captivity; surely then you will be ashamed and humiliated for all your wickedness.

O inhabitant of Lebanon, nesting in the cedars, how you will be pitied when pangs come upon you, the pain as of a woman giving birth!

Oh, that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!

And what will you do in the day of judgment, and in destruction when it comes from afar? To whom will you flee for help? And where will you leave your glory?

And the inhabitant of this region shall say in that day, Behold our confidence to which we have fled for help, to be delivered from the king of Assyria! And now, how shall we escape?

The sinners in Zion are afraid; trembling has taken hold of the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?

Her uncleanness is in her skirts; she did not remember her end, and her downfall was extraordinary. There is no comforter for her. O Jehovah, behold my affliction, for the enemy has magnified himself.

Can your heart endure, or can your hands remain strong, in the days when I shall deal with you? I, Jehovah, have spoken, and will do it.

before the decree is brought forth, the day shall pass like the chaff, yet not before the hot anger of Jehovah comes upon you, yet not before the day of the anger of Jehovah comes upon you.

Seek Jehovah, all the meek of the earth who have done His justice; seek righteousness; seek meekness. It may be that you shall be hidden in the day of the anger of Jehovah.
