For thus Jehovah has said, The whole land shall be desolate, yet I will not make a full end.

Go up on her vine rows and destroy; but do not make a full end; take away her branches, for they are not Jehovah's.

But even in those days, says Jehovah, I will not make a complete end of you.

For thus says Jehovah: Just as I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so I will bring upon them all the good that I have promised them.

Men shall buy fields for money, and write it in a document, and seal it, and take witnesses in the land of Benjamin, and in the places around Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the mountains, and in the cities of the valley, and in the cities of the south. For I will cause their captives to return, says Jehovah.

Do you not consider what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which Jehovah has chosen, He has even cast them off? Thus they have despised My people, that they should no more be a nation before them.

then I will cast away the seed of Jacob, and David My servant, so that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. For I will bring back their captives, and have mercy on them.

Behold, the eyes of the Lord Jehovah are on the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from the face of the earth; except that, I will not utterly annihilate the house of Jacob, declares Jehovah.

For, behold, I will command, and I will shake the house of Israel among all the nations, as one sifts with a sieve; yet not a grain shall fall to the ground.

For if their being cast away is the reconciling of the world, what will their reception be but life from the dead?

And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree,

O Jehovah, correct me, but with justice; not in Your anger, lest You bring me to nothing.

Jehovah, I have heard the report of You, and am afraid. Jehovah, preserve Your work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make it known; in wrath remember compassion.

But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.

Has He struck him, as He struck those who struck Him? Is He slain according to the slaughter of those slain by Him?

Therefore by this shall the iniquity of Jacob be atoned; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he makes all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in pieces, the groves and idols shall not stand.

And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when you are rebuked by Him.

If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not discipline?

Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live?

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.
