Take large stones in your hand, and hide them in the clay in the brick kiln which is at the entrance to Pharaoh's house in Tahpanhes, in the eyes of the men of Judah.

The Word that came unto Jeremiah concerning all the Jews who live in the land of Egypt, who live in Migdol, and at Tahpanhes, and at Noph, and in the land of Pathros, saying,

Speak to the children of Israel, that they return and camp before Pi Hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, opposite Baal Zephon; you shall camp before it by the sea.

and set a fire in Egypt; Sin shall writhe in anguish, No shall be split open, and Noph shall be in daily distress.

At Tahpanhes the day shall also be darkened, when I break the yokes of Egypt there. And her arrogant strength shall come to an end in her; as for her, a cloud shall cover her, and her daughters shall go into captivity.

Set in order the buckler and shield, and draw near to battle.

Harness the horses, and horsemen mount up. Stand with helmets, polish the spears; put on the armor.

O children of Benjamin, seek refuge out of the midst of Jerusalem. Blow the shofar in Tekoa, and set up a signal-fire in Beth-haccerem; for evil appears out of the north, and great destruction.

The shepherds with their flocks shall come to her; they shall pitch tents against her all around; they shall feed each one in his place.

Arise, and let us go by night, and let us destroy her palaces.

Proclaim this among the nations: Consecrate a war; wake up the mighty men; let all the men of war draw near; let them come up.

Assemble yourselves and come, all you nations; and gather yourselves together all around. O Jehovah, bring down Your mighty ones.

For this is the day of the Lord Jehovah of Hosts, a day of vengeance, that He may avenge Himself of His adversaries. And the sword shall devour, and it shall be satiated and made drunk with their blood, for the Lord Jehovah of Hosts has a sacrifice in the land of the north by the River Euphrates.

In vain I have chastened your children; they received no correction. Your own sword has devoured your prophets, like a destroying lion.

The plunderers have come upon all high places through the wilderness; for the sword of Jehovah shall devour from one end of the land even to the other end of the land. No flesh shall have peace.

Behold, I am against you, declares Jehovah of Hosts; and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall devour your young lions. And I will cut off your prey from the earth, and the voice of your messengers shall not be heard any more.
