As I live, says the King, whose name is Jehovah of Hosts, Surely as Tabor is among the mountains, and as Carmel by the sea, so he shall come.

and said: By Myself I have sworn, says Jehovah, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only one;

but truly, as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of Jehovah;

they shall not see the land of which I have sworn to their fathers, nor shall any of those who rejected Me see it.

For I raise My hand to the heavens, and say, As I live forever,

I will make My arrows drunk with blood, and My sword shall devour flesh, with the blood of the slain and the captives, from the heads of the commanders of the enemy.

My covenant I will not break, nor alter what has gone forth out of My lips.

Jehovah has sworn by His right hand, and by the arm of His strength: Surely I will no more give your grain as food for your enemies; and the children of foreigners shall not drink your wine for which you have labored.

The Lord Jehovah has sworn by Himself, declares Jehovah the God of Hosts: I abhor the pride of Jacob, and hate his palaces; therefore I will deliver up the city and its fullness.

Jehovah has sworn by the Pride of Jacob, Surely I will never forget any of their works.

And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who did not obey?

For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He had no one greater to swear by, He swore by Himself,

that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.

But to the wicked God says, What is it you do, to declare My Statutes, and to take up My Covenant in your mouth;

As for you, O house of Israel, thus says the Lord Jehovah: Go, serve every one of you his idols, even hereafter, if you will not obey me. But profane My holy name no more with your gifts and your idols.

And when a man's uncle shall take him away, and he who burns the bodies, to bring out the bones from the house; and he shall say to the one left in the recesses of the house, Are there any still with you? And he shall say, No. Then he shall say, Keep quiet! For we must not mention the name of Jehovah.

And you shall swear, Jehovah lives, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in Him, and in Him they shall glory.

And though they say, As Jehovah lives; surely they swear falsely.

Will you steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense to Baal, and walk after other gods whom you do not know;

Hear this, O house of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel, and have come forth out of the waters of Judah; who swear by the name of Jehovah and make mention of the God of Israel (but not in truth nor in righteousness;

for they name themselves as being of the holy city, and rest themselves on the God of Israel; Jehovah of Hosts is His name):

I will also stretch out My hand on Judah and on all the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And I will cut off the remnant of Baal from this place, the names of the idolatrous priests, with the priests;

and those who bow down to the host of the heavens on the housetops; and those who bow, swearing to Jehovah, but also swearing by Melech,
