It may be that they will present their supplication before Jehovah, and will turn back, each one from his evil way. For great is the anger and the fury that Jehovah has pronounced against this people.

Therefore please hear now, O my lord the king; I beg you, let my supplication fall before you, so that you not cause me to return to the house of Jonathan the scribe, lest I die there.

Behold, they say to me, Where is the Word of Jehovah? Let it come now!

And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be kept safe alive; but for the elect's sake those days will be shortened.
