I will take up a weeping and a wailing for the mountains, and a lamentation for the pastures of the wilderness; because they are burned up, so that no one can pass through them; nor can men hear the voice of the cattle. Both the birds of the heavens and the beasts have fled; they are gone.

And the earth was without form, and void, with darkness on the face of the deep; and the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

The earth has been badly broken! The earth is split open and cracked through! The earth has shaken greatly and is tottering!

And it shall come to pass in that day that Jehovah will punish the host of the haughty ones on high; and on earth, the kings of the earth.

Then the moon shall be abashed, and the sun shall be ashamed, when Jehovah of Hosts shall reign on Mount Zion, in Jerusalem, and before His elders, in splendor.

And I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heavens fled away. And there was found no place for them.

And in that day they shall roar against them like the roaring of the sea; and if one looks to the land, behold darkness and distress; and the light is darkened by clouds.

For the stars of the heavens and their constellations shall not give light; the sun shall be darkened in its going forth, and the moon shall not shine its light.

When I extinguish you, I will cover the heavens, and make its stars dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give its light.

All the bright lights of the heavens I will make dark over you, and bring darkness upon your land, declares the Lord Jehovah.

The earth quakes before them, the heavens tremble. The sun and moon grow dark, and the stars withdraw their brightness.

And I will show signs in the heavens and in the earth: blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.

The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of Jehovah.

The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their brightness.

Jehovah roars from Zion, and He utters His voice from Jerusalem. And the heavens and the earth quake. But Jehovah is a refuge for His people and a fortress to the sons of Israel.

And it shall be in that day, declares the Lord Jehovah, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the light of day.

And immediately after the affliction of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but My Words will by no means pass away.

But in those days, after that affliction, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light;

the stars of heaven will be falling, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.

And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring;

men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

I will present wonders in the heavens above and signs in the earth beneath: blood and fire and vapor of smoke.

The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.
