So it was, when the king saw Queen Esther standing in the court, that she found favor in his eyes, and the king held out to Esther the golden scepter that was in his hand. Then Esther went near and touched the top of the scepter.

Then King Ahasuerus said to Queen Esther and Mordecai the Jew, Behold, I have given Esther the house of Haman, and they have hanged him on the gallows because he has stretched out his hand against the Jews.

I will also cut off all the horns of the wicked; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.

The king's heart is in the hand of Jehovah; like rivers of water, He turns it wherever He pleases.
