Why do you gad about so much to change your way? You also shall be ashamed of Egypt, as you were ashamed of Assyria.

And you, what will you do when you are ruined? Though you dress with crimson, though you put on ornaments of gold, though you make your eyes large with paint, you shall make yourself beautiful in vain; your lovers will despise you; they will seek your life.

Go up to Lebanon, and cry out; and lift up your voice in Bashan, and cry out from Abarim, for all your lovers are destroyed.

The wind shall eat up all your shepherds, and your lovers shall go into captivity; surely then you will be ashamed and humiliated for all your wickedness.

Therefore, behold, I will seduce her and bring her into the wilderness, and speak to her heart.

And in that day, says Jehovah, you shall call Me, My Husband; and you shall no more call Me, My Master.

The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast.

These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, elect, and faithful.

And the ten horns which you saw on the beast, these will hate the harlot, make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and consume her with fire.

And the woman whom you saw is that great city which reigns over the kings of the earth.

Why do You hide Your face, and regard me as Your enemy?

For You write bitter things against me, and make me inherit the iniquities of my youth.

worn out like a rotten thing, like a garment that is moth-eaten.

He tears me in His wrath, and hates me; He gnashes at me with His teeth; my adversary sharpens His eyes at me.

He has also kindled His wrath against me, and He counts me as one of His enemies.

But You have changed to be cruel to me; with the strength of Your hand You oppose me.

The Lord was like an enemy; He has swallowed up Israel; He has swallowed up all her palaces, and destroyed His strongholds. And He has increased mourning and lamentation in the daughter of Judah.

For I am to Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah; I, even I, tear and go away; I take away, and no one rescues.

Why do you cry over your break? Your pain is incurable, because of the abundance of your iniquities; because your sins have increased, I have done these things to you.

Therefore a lion out of the forest shall kill them, and a wolf of the deserts shall destroy them; a leopard shall watch over their cities. Everyone who goes out from there shall be torn in pieces, because their transgressions are many and their backslidings are increased.

For we have been consumed by Your anger, and by Your wrath we have been terrified.

You have set our iniquities before You, our secrets in the light of Your countenance.

So it was, that while they were killing them, I was left alone; and I fell on my face and cried out, and said, Ah, Lord Jehovah! Will You destroy all the remnant of Israel in pouring out Your fury on Jerusalem?

And as for Me also, My eye will neither spare, nor will I have pity, but I will recompense their deeds upon their own head.
