Why do we sit still? Gather yourselves, and let us enter into the fortified cities, and let us be silent there. For Jehovah our God has put us to silence, and has given us bitter water to drink, because we have sinned against Jehovah.

Therefore thus says Jehovah of Hosts, the God of Israel, Behold, I will feed them, even this people, with wormwood, and make them drink bitter water.

He has built against me and has encircled me with bitterness and travail.

He has filled me with bitterness and made me drunk with wormwood.

Remember my affliction and my wandering, the wormwood and bitterness.

And the name of the star is called Wormwood. A third of the waters became wormwood, and many men died from the water, because it was made bitter.
