And the Word of Jehovah came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what do you see? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree.

The Word that came to Jeremiah from Jehovah, saying,

The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream. And he who has My Word, let him speak My Word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? says Jehovah.

Moreover the Word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

God, Who at various times and in various ways spoke in times past to the fathers by the prophets,

for prophecy was not formerly brought forth by man's choice, but holy men of God spoke as they were propelled along by the Holy Spirit.
