Take for yourself a scroll of a book, and write in it all the Words that I have spoken to you against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spoke to you, from the days of Josiah, even to this day.

Take for yourself another scroll, and write in it all the former Words that were in the first scroll, which Jehoiakim the king of Judah has burned.

Then Jeremiah took another scroll and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah, who wrote in it at the mouth of Jeremiah all the Words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire. And many words like them were added to them.

Now go, write it before them on a tablet, and note it in a book, so that it may be for time to come forever and ever,

Oh, that my words were now written! Oh, that they were inscribed in a book!

That they were forever engraved on a rock with an iron pen and lead!

And Jehovah answered me and said, Write the vision and make it plain on the tablets, that he who reads it may run.

For the vision is yet for the appointed time; it speaks forth to the end, and it does not lie. Though it delays, wait for it, because it will come and take place; it will not tarry.

Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666.

And he measured its wall: one hundred and forty-four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
