In the year that King Uzziah died I then saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and His train filled the temple.

that they may know that You, whose name alone is Jehovah, are the Most High over all the earth.

For You, Jehovah, are most high above all the earth; You are exalted far above all gods.

Though Jehovah is on high, yet He gives attention to the lowly; but the proud He recognizes from afar.

This sentence is by the decree of the watchers, and the command by the word of the holy ones, in order that the living may know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men and gives it to whomever He wills, and sets up over it the lowest of men.

This is the interpretation, O king, and this is the decree of the Most High, which has come upon my lord the king:

And you shall be driven from men, and your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field. And you shall be fed with grass like oxen. And you shall be wet with dew of the heavens; and seven times shall pass over you until you know that the Most High is Ruler in the kingdom of men, and He gives it to whomever He desires.

And at the end of the days, I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted up my eyes to the heavens, and my understanding returned to me, and I blessed the Most High. And I praised and honored Him who lives forever, whose dominion is an eternal dominion, and His rule from generation to generation.

Have you not known? Have you not heard, that the eternal God, Jehovah, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not grow faint nor weary? His understanding is unsearchable.

And Abraham planted a tamarisk tree in Beer-sheba, and there he called upon the name of Jehovah, the Eternal God.

The God of old is your refuge, and underneath are the eternal arms. He will thrust out the enemy before you, and say, Destroy!

Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever You had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are the Mighty God.

Your throne is established from of old; You are from eternity.

I was anointed from eternity, from the beginning, before the earth.

But Jehovah is the true God, He is the living God, and the eternal King. At His wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to endure His indignation.

And you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are insignificant among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall come forth to Me the One to be Ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from the days of eternity.

For ever since the creation of the world the unseen things of Him are clearly perceived, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,

Now to the King eternal, incorruptible, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God.

And one cried to another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is Jehovah of Hosts; the whole earth full of His glory!

Who is like You, O Jehovah, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

No one is holy like Jehovah, for there is no one besides You, nor is there any rock like our God.

Then I would still have comfort; though in anguish, I would leap for joy; let Him not spare; for I have not hidden the Words of the Holy One.

Let them praise Your great and awesome name; it is holy.

He has sent redemption to His people; He has commanded His covenant forever; holy and awesome is His name.

For He who is mighty does great things to me, and holy is His name.

But you denied the Holy and Just One, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you,

And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, These things says He who is holy, He who is true, He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens:

The four living creatures, each had six wings around, and were full of eyes within. And they do not rest day or night, saying: Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!

Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. For all nations shall come and do homage before You, for Your righteous deeds have been manifested.

Thus says Jehovah, Heaven is My throne, and earth My footstool. Where, then, is the house that you would build for Me? And where is the place of My rest?

But will God truly dwell on the earth? Behold, the heavens and the Heaven of heavens cannot contain You. How much less this house which I have built!

Sing unto God, make music unto His name; exalt Him who rides in the wilderness by His name YAH, and rejoice before Him.

In His holy dwelling God is a father to the fatherless, and a judge for the widows.

Jehovah is high above all nations, His glory above the heavens.

who humbles Himself to behold the things that are in the heavens and in the earth!

But our God is in Heaven; He has done whatever He pleased.

i1 [A Song of Ascents.] i0 par Unto You I lift up my eyes, O You who dwell in the heavens.

All flesh, be silent before Jehovah. For He is raised up out of His holy habitation.

In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in Heaven, Holy is Your name.

who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and eternal power. Amen.

Thus says Jehovah, Heaven is My throne, and earth My footstool. Where, then, is the house that you would build for Me? And where is the place of My rest?

For all those My hand has made, and all those exist, says Jehovah. But to this one will I have regard: To the lowly and contrite of spirit, and the one who trembles at My Word.

And when he was in distress, he entreated Jehovah his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers,

and prayed to Him; and He was entreated of him, heard his supplication, and brought him back to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh recognized that Jehovah was God.

Because your heart has been tender, and you humbled yourself before God when you heard His Words against this place and against its inhabitants, and you humbled yourself before Me, and you tore your clothes and wept before Me, I also have heard you, says Jehovah.

Jehovah is near to those of a broken heart, and saves such as are of a contrite spirit.

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.

Though Jehovah is on high, yet He gives attention to the lowly; but the proud He recognizes from afar.

and Jehovah said to him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and cry over all the abominations that are done within it.

so that you may remember and be ashamed. And you will never open your mouth anymore because of your shame, when I provide atonement for you for all that you have done, declares the Lord Jehovah.

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.

Likewise you that are younger, be subject to your elders. Yes, all of you be subject to one another, and be clothed with humility, for God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.

The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is upon Me; because Jehovah has anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

to appoint to those who mourn in Zion, to give to them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the mantle of praise for the spirit of heaviness; so that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, that He might be glorified.

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim deliverance to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free with deliverance those who are oppressed;

And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and was moved with compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.

But the father said to his servants, Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet.

for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found. And they began to be merry.

who encourages us in all our affliction, that we may be able to encourage those who are in any affliction, through the comfort by which we ourselves are encouraged by God.

so that, on the contrary, you ought rather to forgive and encourage him, lest perhaps such a one be swallowed up with too much sorrow.

Nevertheless God, who encourages the downcast, encouraged us by the coming of Titus,
