And you went to the king with ointment, and increased your perfumes, and sent your messengers far away, and lowered yourself even to Sheol.

You are wearied in the length of your way; yet you did not say, There is no hope! You found life in your hand; therefore you were not weak.

Go and cry out to the gods which you have chosen; let them deliver you in your time of distress.

And Elisha said to the king of Israel, What have I to do with you? Go to the prophets of your father and the prophets of your mother. But the king of Israel said to him, No, for Jehovah has called these three kings together to deliver them into the hand of Moab.

The wind shall eat up all your shepherds, and your lovers shall go into captivity; surely then you will be ashamed and humiliated for all your wickedness.

Therefore it has come to pass that, just as He called, and they would not hear; so they called, and I did not hear, says Jehovah of Hosts.

Indeed, they shall not be planted; indeed, they shall not be sown. Indeed, their stump shall not take root in the earth. And He shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the tempest shall take them away like stubble.

You shall winnow them, and the wind shall carry them away, and a tempest shall scatter them. And you shall rejoice in Jehovah and shall glory in the Holy One of Israel.

They are like straw before the wind, and like chaff that a storm steals away.

The wicked are not so, but are like chaff which the wind drives away.

Before your pots can feel the thorns, whether green or glowing, He shall sweep it away.

Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud, and as the early dew that passes away, as chaff driven from the threshing floor by the storm, and as smoke out of the chimney.

You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You; because he trusts in You.

Trust in Jehovah forever; for in YAH JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.

Trust in Jehovah, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on faithfulness.

For evildoers shall be cut off; but those who wait upon Jehovah, they shall inherit the earth.

O Jehovah of Hosts, blessed is the man who trusts in You!

i1 [A Song of Ascents.] i0 par Those who trust in Jehovah are like Mount Zion, which is not shaken, but remains forever.

He who is of a proud soul stirs up strife; but he who puts his trust in Jehovah shall be made fat.

Blessed is the man who trusts in Jehovah, and Jehovah is his refuge.

For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters; it sends out its roots by the river, and it shall not fear when the heat comes, but its foliage shall be green; and he is not anxious in the year of drought, nor will it cease from yielding fruit.

They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of Jehovah, as the waters cover the sea.

Even them I will bring to My holy mountain, and make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted on My altar; for My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.

The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the ox; and dust shall be the serpent's food. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, says Jehovah.

And they shall bring all your brothers for an offering to Jehovah out of all nations on horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and on mules, and on camels, to My holy mountain Jerusalem, says Jehovah, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of Jehovah.

For on My holy mountain, on the mountain height of Israel, says the Lord Jehovah, there all the house of Israel, all of them in the land, shall serve Me; there I will accept them, and there I will require your offerings and the firstfruits of your sacrifices, together with all your holy things.

And you shall know that I am Jehovah your God dwelling in Zion, My holy mountain. And Jerusalem shall be holy, and foreigners shall no more pass through her.
