Oh, that this heart of theirs would be fully yielded, to fear Me and to keep all My commandments at all times, that it might be well with them and with their children forever!

Oh, that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!

Oh, that My people had listened to Me, that Israel had walked in My ways!

The haters of Jehovah would have cowered before Him, and their time would have endured forever.

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her, how often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!

And as He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it,

saying, If you had known, even you, at least in this your day, the things that make for your peace. But now they are hidden from your eyes.

until the Spirit is poured on us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, and the fruitful field is esteemed as a forest.

And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the service of righteousness shall be quietness and assurance forever.

For thus says Jehovah, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the nations like a flowing stream. Then you shall suckle, you shall be carried on her sides and be dandled upon her knees.

They shall be satisfied with the fatness of Your house; and You shall make them drink of the river of Your pleasures.

Great peace have those who love Your Law, and nothing causes them to stumble.

But let justice flow down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.

for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
