And Jehovah shall utterly destroy the tongue of the Sea of Egypt; and with His scorching wind He shall shake His fist over the River, and shall strike it into seven streams, and make men tread it dry-shod.

And there shall be a highway for the remnant of His people, those left as survivors from Assyria; as it was for Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.

I will make waste the mountains and hills, and dry up all their vegetation. And I will make the rivers coastlands, and I will dry up the pools.

Thus says Jehovah, Who makes a way in the sea and a path through the mighty waters;

But I am Jehovah your God, who divided the sea, whose waves roared; Jehovah of Hosts is His name.

You have cleaved open the fountain and the flood; You have dried up mighty rivers.

A drought is upon her waters; and they shall be dried up. For it is the land of graven images, and they act madly and are in dread.

and that the passages are blocked; and they have burned the reeds with fire, and the men of war are frightened.

Therefore thus says Jehovah: Behold, I will plead your case and take vengeance for you; and I will dry up her sea and make her springs dry.

And the sixth angel poured out his bowl onto the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared.
