And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God. We have waited for Him, and He will save us. This is Jehovah; we have waited for Him, we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.

Yea, in the way of Your judgments, O Jehovah, we have waited for You; for the desire of our soul is Your name and the remembrance of You.

And so Jehovah waits to be gracious to you. And therefore He is exalted, that He may have mercy on you; for Jehovah is a God of justice. Blessed are all those who wait for Him.

For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem; you shall weep no more. He will be very gracious to you at the sound of your cry. When He hears it, He will answer you.

I would have fainted unless I had believed to see the goodness of Jehovah in the land of the living.

Wait upon Jehovah; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, upon Jehovah!

My soul, be still only before God; for my expectation is from Him.

Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah.

Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters, as the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes wait upon Jehovah our God, until He shall have mercy upon us.

But there is forgiveness with You, that You may be feared.

My soul waits for the Lord more than those who watch for the morning; yea, more than those who watch for the morning.

And He will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

Jehovah is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him.

It is good that one should hope for the salvation of Jehovah, even in silence.

Take words with you and return to Jehovah. Say to Him, Take away all iniquity and receive us with grace, that we may repay with the calves of our lips.

For You are a refuge to the poor, a stronghold to the needy in his distress, a shelter from the storm, a shade from the heat, when the blast of the ruthless ones is like a storm against the wall.

And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and when it turned to daybreak, the sea returned to normal, while the Egyptians were fleeing into it. And Jehovah shook out the Egyptians into the midst of the sea.

Yea, let none who wait upon You be ashamed; let them be ashamed who deal treacherously without cause.

Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, for in You do I trust; cause me to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul unto You.

They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.

Jehovah, in trouble they have visited You; they have poured out a prayer when Your chastening was upon them.

But the salvation of the righteous is from Jehovah; He is their strength in the time of distress.

God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God shall help her at the break of day.

and call on Me in the day of trouble; and I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.

Give us help from distress; for the help of man is vain.

Make us glad according to the days in which we have been afflicted, the years in which we have seen evil.

He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.

saying to a tree, You are my father; and to a stone, You gave birth to me. For they have turned their back to Me, and not their face; but in the time of their distress they will say, Arise and save us!

But where are your gods that you have made for yourselves? Let them arise, if they can save you in the time of your distress; for according to the number of your cities are your gods, O Judah.

O the Hope of Israel, its Savior in time of trouble, why should You be like a sojourner in the land, and like a traveler who turns aside to lodge for the night?

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassions and God of all comfort,

who encourages us in all our affliction, that we may be able to encourage those who are in any affliction, through the comfort by which we ourselves are encouraged by God.
