The burden against the Valley of Vision. What ails you now, that you have gone up to the housetops?

The noisy city, the joyous city, is filled with turbulence. Your slain ones are not slain with the sword, nor dead in battle.
3
All your rulers have fled together; they have been captured without the bow; all who are found in you have been captured together; they have fled from afar.
4
Therefore I said, Look away from me; I will weep bitterly; do not insist on comforting me because of the devastation of the daughter of my people.
5
For it is a day of trouble, and of trampling down, and of perplexity by Jehovah of Hosts in the Valley of Vision; of breaking down the walls, and of crying to the mountains.
6
And Elam carried the quiver with chariots of men and horsemen, and Kir uncovered the shield.
7
And it shall come to pass that your choicest valleys shall be full of chariots; and the horsemen shall surely be set in array at the gate.
8
And he uncovered Judah's covering, and you looked in that day to the armor of the House of the Forest.
9
You have also seen the breaks in the city of David, that they are many; and you gathered the waters of the lower pool.
Jeremiah 50:2
Declare among the nations, proclaim, and lift up a banner. Proclaim and do not hide it; say, Babylon is captured, Bel is ashamed, Merodach is broken in pieces; her images are withered up, her idols are broken in pieces.
Jeremiah 50:3
For out of the north a nation comes up against her, which shall make her land a waste, and no one shall dwell in it. They shall flee, they shall depart, both man and beast.

How the hammer of the whole earth is chopped off and broken! How Babylon has become a desolation among the nations!

I have laid a trap for you, and you have also been caught, O Babylon, and you did not even know it. You have been found and also captured, because you have fought against Jehovah.
25
Jehovah has opened His armory, and has brought forth the weapons of His indignation. For this is the work of the Lord Jehovah of Hosts in the land of the Chaldeans.
26
Come against her from the border; open her storehouses; cast her up as heaps, and destroy her completely. Let nothing of her be left.
27
Kill all her bulls; let them go down to the slaughter. Woe to them! For their day has come, the time of their punishment.
28
The voice of those who flee and escape out of the land of Babylon, to declare in Zion the vengeance of Jehovah our God, the vengeance of His temple.
29
Summon the archers against Babylon. All you who bend the bow, camp against it all around; let none of them escape. Repay her according to her work; according to all that she has done, do to her. For she has been proud against Jehovah, against the Holy One of Israel.
30
Therefore her young men shall fall in the streets, and all her men of war shall be silenced in that day, says Jehovah.
31
Behold, I am against you, O proud ones, says the Lord Jehovah of Hosts; for your day has come, the time that I will judge you.
32
And the most proud shall stumble and fall, and no one shall raise him up. And I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it shall consume everything all around him.
33
Thus says Jehovah of Hosts: The children of Israel and the children of Judah were oppressed together. And all who captured them have held them fast; they have refused to let them go.
34
Their Redeemer is strong; Jehovah of Hosts, is His name. He shall thoroughly plead their case, that he may give rest to the land, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.
35
A sword is upon the Chaldeans, says Jehovah, and upon the inhabitants of Babylon, and upon her rulers, and upon her wise men.
36
A sword is upon the liars, and they shall become fools. A sword is upon her mighty men, and they shall be dismayed.
37
A sword is upon their horses and their chariots, and upon all the mixed people in her midst; and they shall become as women. A sword is upon her treasures, and they shall be robbed.
38
A drought is upon her waters; and they shall be dried up. For it is the land of graven images, and they act madly and are in dread.
39
Therefore the beasts of the desert shall dwell there with the howling beasts. And the young owls shall dwell in it. And it shall not again be inhabited forever; it shall not be lived in from generation to generation.
40
As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighbors, says Jehovah, so no man shall remain there, nor shall any son of man live in it.
41
Behold, a people shall come from the north, even a great nation; and many kings shall be aroused from the ends of the earth.
42
They lay hold on the bow and spear; they are cruel and shall not show mercy. Their voice shall roar like the sea, and they shall ride on horses, set in array like a man for battle against you, O daughter of Babylon.
43
The king of Babylon has heard the report of them, and his hands became feeble. Anguish has taken hold of him, and pangs as of a woman in labor.
44
Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of the Jordan against the dwelling of the strong. But I will make them suddenly run away from her. And who is a chosen one whom I may appoint over her? For who is like Me? And who will set My appointments? And who is that shepherd who will face Me?
45
Therefore hear the counsel of Jehovah that He has taken against Babylon; and His purposes which He has purposed against the land of the Chaldeans. Surely the least of the flock shall drag them; surely He shall make their dwelling desolate to them.
46
At the sound of the capture of Babylon the earth quakes, and a cry is heard among the nations.
Jeremiah 51:11
Polish the arrows; gather the shields. Jehovah has raised up the spirit of the kings of the Medes. For His plan is against Babylon, to destroy it; because it is the vengeance of Jehovah, the vengeance of His temple.

Set up a banner in the land; blow the shofar among the nations; prepare the nations against her. Call the kingdoms of Ararat, Minni, and Ashkenaz together against her; appoint a commander against her. Cause the horses to come up as the bristling caterpillars.

Consecrate nations against her, with the kings of the Medes, her governors and all her rulers, and all the land of his realm.
Ezekiel 38:3-23

and say, Thus says the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against you, O Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal.

And I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws, and lead you out, with all your army, horses, and horsemen, all splendidly clothed, a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords.
5
Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya are with them, all of them with shield and helmet;
6
Gomer and all its troops; the house of Togarmah from the far north and all its troops; and many people with you.
7
Prepare yourself and be ready, you and all your companies that are gathered about you; and be a guard to them.
8
After many days you will be visited. In the last final years you will come into the land of those brought back from the sword and gathered from many peoples on the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate; they were brought out of the nations, and now all of them dwell safely.
9
You will ascend, and come like a storm, covering the land like a cloud, you and all your troops and many people with you.
10
Thus says the Lord Jehovah: On that day it shall come to pass that thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will devise an evil plan.
11
You shall say, I will go up against a land of unwalled villages; I will go to a people at peace, who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates;
12
to plunder the spoils and to steal a prize, to stretch out your hand against the waste places that are again inhabited, and against a people gathered out of the nations, who produce livestock and goods, who dwell in the center of the earth.
13
Sheba, Dedan, the merchants of Tarshish, and all their young lions will say to you, Have you come to plunder the spoils? Have you gathered your army to steal a prize, to carry away silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods, to plunder a great spoils?
14
Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog, Thus says the Lord Jehovah: On that day when My people Israel dwell safely, will you not know it?
15
And you shall come from your place out of the recesses of the north, you and many peoples with you, all of them riding on horses, a great company and a mighty army.
16
And you will come up against My people Israel like a cloud, to cover the land. It shall be in the last final days that I will bring you against My land, so that the nations may know Me, when I am sanctified in you, O Gog, before their eyes.
17
Thus says the Lord Jehovah: Are you he of whom I have spoken in former days by My servants the prophets of Israel, who prophesied for years in those days that I would bring you against them?
18
And it shall come to pass on that day, when Gog comes against the land of Israel, declares the Lord Jehovah, that My fury shall arise in My face.
19
For in My jealousy and in the fire of My wrath I have spoken. Surely in that day there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel,
20
so that the fish of the sea, the birds of the heavens, the beasts of the field, all creeping things that creep on the earth, and all men who are on the face of the earth shall quake at My presence. The mountains shall be thrown down, the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.
21
I will call for a sword against him throughout all My mountains, declares the Lord Jehovah. Every man's sword shall be against his brother.
22
And I will judge him with pestilence and blood; I will rain down upon him, on his troops, and on the many people who are with him, flooding rain, great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.
23
Thus I will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. And they shall know that I am Jehovah.

Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of Jehovah is near in the valley of decision.
Zechariah 14:1-3

Behold, the day of Jehovah comes, and your spoils shall be divided in your midst.

For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem. And the city shall be captured, and the houses plundered, and the women ravished. And half the city shall go into captivity and the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

And Jehovah shall go forth and fight against those nations, like the day He fought in the day of battle.

And the shape of the locusts was like horses prepared for battle. And on their heads something like crowns of gold, and their faces were like the faces of men.

And they had hair like women's hair, and their teeth were like those of lions.

saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.

So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill a third of mankind.

Now the number of the army of the horsemen was two hundred million; and I heard the number of them.

And thus I saw the horses in the vision: those who sat on them had breastplates being fiery like hyacinth and brimstone; and the heads of the horses were like the heads of lions; and out of their mouths came fire, smoke, and brimstone.

By these three plagues a third of mankind was killed; by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone which came out of their mouths.

For their power is in their mouth and in their tails; for their tails are like serpents, having heads; and with them they do harm.

Flee out of the middle of Babylon, and each man deliver his soul. Do not be cut off in her iniquity, for this is the time of Jehovah's vengeance; He will make good her recompense.

Babylon has been a golden cup in Jehovah's hand, which made all the earth drunk. The nations have drunk her wine; therefore the nations are deranged.

Babylon has suddenly fallen and been destroyed. Wail for her; take balm for her pain, if perhaps she may be healed.

We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed. Forsake her and let us go, each one into his own land; for her judgment reaches to the heavens and is lifted up to the skies.

Jehovah has brought forth our righteousness; come and let us declare in Zion the work of Jehovah our God.

Jehovah of Hosts has sworn by Himself, saying, Surely I will fill you with men as with locust caterpillars; and they shall lift up a shout against you.

He has made the earth by His power; He has established the world by His wisdom, and has stretched out the heavens by His understanding.
16
When He utters His voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens; and He causes the mists to ascend from the ends of the earth. He makes lightnings with rain and brings forth the wind out of His treasures.
17
Every man is stupid in knowledge; every refiner is put to shame by graven images. For his molten image is deception, and there is no breath in them.

They are vanity, the work of errors; in the time of their judgment they shall perish.

The Portion of Jacob is not like them; for He is the Former of all things, and Israel is the offshoot of His inheritance. Jehovah of Hosts is His name.

You are My battle-ax and weapons of war; for with you I will shatter nations; and with you I will destroy kingdoms.

And I will recompense unto Babylon, and unto all the inhabitants of Chaldea, all the evil that they have done in Zion in your eyes, says Jehovah.

Behold, I am against you, O destroying mountain, says Jehovah, who destroys all the earth. And I will stretch out My hand upon you and roll you down from the rocks, and will make you a burnt mountain.

a fire devours before them, and a flame burns behind them. The land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them is a desolate wilderness; yea, also nothing shall escape them.
