Shulamite: I went down to the garden of nuts to see the greenery of the valley, to see whether the vine had budded and the pomegranates had bloomed.

Let us get up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine has budded, whether the grape blossoms are open, and the pomegranates are in bloom. There I will give my love to you.

I would lead you and bring you into my mother's house, to teach me; I would cause you to drink of spiced wine of the juice of my pomegranate.

They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fat and luxuriant;

I made gardens and orchards for myself, and I planted trees in them, of all kinds of fruit.

Your people also shall all be righteous; they shall inherit the land forever, the branch of My planting, the work of My hands, so that I may be glorified.

For as the earth brings forth its bud, and as the garden causes that which is sown to grow; so the Lord Jehovah will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

I am the True Vine, and My Father is the Vinedresser.

You are already clean because of the Word which I have spoken to you.

Shulamite: My beloved has gone to his garden, to the beds of spices, to graze in the gardens, and to gather lilies.

spikenard and saffron, calamus and cinnamon, with all trees of frankincense, myrrh and aloes, with all the chief balsam;

My beloved is to me a cluster of henna blooms in the vineyards of En Gedi.

Shulamite: While the king is at his table, my spikenard sends forth its fragrance.

And being in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper, as He sat at the table, a woman came having an alabaster flask of very costly ointment of spikenard. And she broke the flask and poured it on His head.

Then Mary took a pound of very costly ointment of spikenard, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the ointment.
