So the two of them went until they came to Bethlehem. And it happened, when they had come to Bethlehem, that all the city was in a stir because of them; and they said, Is this Naomi?

I went out full, and Jehovah has brought me back home empty. Why do you call me Naomi, since Jehovah has testified against me, and the Almighty has afflicted me?

It is enough for a disciple that he be like his teacher, and a servant like his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more those of his household!

For I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law;

and a man's enemies will be those of his own household.

Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division.

Father will be divided against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.

But, as he who was born according to the flesh then persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, even so it is now.

Solomon had a vineyard at Baal Hamon; he leased the vineyard to keepers; everyone was to bring for its fruit a thousand pieces of silver.

To Solomon: My own vineyard is before me. You, O Solomon, may have a thousand, and those who tend its fruit two hundred.
