How beautiful is your love, My sister, my spouse! How much better than wine is your love, and the scent of your ointments than all spices!

I arose to open to my beloved, and my hands dripped with myrrh, my fingers with flowing myrrh, on the handles of the lock.

His cheeks are like a bed of spices, like grown herbs. His lips are like lilies, dripping flowing myrrh.

It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron, running down to the edge of his garments.

Ointment and perfume make the heart glad; so does the sweetness of advice from the soul of one's friend.

A good name is better than precious ointment, and the day of death than the day of one's birth.

to appoint to those who mourn in Zion, to give to them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the mantle of praise for the spirit of heaviness; so that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, that He might be glorified.

She shall be brought to the King in clothing of needlework; the virgins, her companions who follow, shall be brought to You.

Then the kingdom of Heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.

For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, to present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He leads. These were redeemed from among men, being firstfruits to God and to the Lamb.
