Therefore I have seen that there is nothing better than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion; for who can bring him to see what shall be after him?

Better is the sight of the eyes than the wandering of the desire. This is also vanity and striving of spirit.

Rejoice in your youth, young man; and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth, and walk in the ways of your heart, and in the sight of your eyes; but know that for all these things, God will bring you into judgment.

So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.

Turn away my eyes from looking after vanity, and revive me in Your Way.

Will you set your eyes on that which is not? For riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away like an eagle into the heavens.

For all that is in the world; the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life; is not of the Father but is of the world.

For what has man from all his labor, and from the striving of his heart, in which he has labored under the sun?

Behold that which I have seen: It is good and right for one to eat and to drink, and to see good in all his labor that he labors under the sun all the days of his life, which God gives him; for it is his portion.

Look on life with the wife whom you love all the days of your vain life, which He has given you under the sun, all the days of your vanity. For that is your share in this life, and in your labor which you labor under the sun.

You shall eat the labor of your hands, you shall be blessed, and it shall be well with you.
