Their poison is like the poison of a serpent, like the deaf cobra that stops its ear,

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it shall eat the fruit of it.

And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. Thus the tongue is set among our members, defiling the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by Gehenna.
