I will declare the decree: Jehovah has said unto Me, You are My Son; today I have begotten You.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that everyone believing into Him should not perish but have eternal life.

For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel.

For to which of the angels did He ever say: You are My Son, today I have begotten You? And again: I will be to Him a Father, and He shall be to Me a Son?

In this the love of God was revealed in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.
