The fear of Jehovah is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, and the evil way, and the perverse mouth.

Three things are too wonderful for me, yea, four which I do not know:

Thus says Jehovah: For three transgressions of Damascus, and for four, I will not turn back from punishing it, for they have threshed Gilead with implements of iron.

Thus says Jehovah: For three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not turn back from punishing it; for they despised the Law of Jehovah, and they have not kept His statutes. And their lies after which their fathers walked led them astray.

Thus says Jehovah: For three transgressions of Israel, and for four, I will not turn back from punishing it, for they sold the righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of sandals.

for the perverse one is an abomination to Jehovah, but His secret counsel is with the upright.

A deceitful scale is an abomination to Jehovah, but a perfect weight stone is His delight.

Those who are of a perverse heart are an abomination to Jehovah, but the perfect in their way are His delight.

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to Jehovah, but the prayer of the upright is His delight.

The way of the wicked is an abomination to Jehovah, but He loves him who pursues righteousness.

He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the just, both of them alike are an abomination to Jehovah.

Different sets of weight stones, different sets of measures, both are an abomination to Jehovah.

Different sets of weight stones are an abomination to Jehovah, and dishonest scales are not good.

There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices divination, or conjuring, or fortunetelling, or sorcery,

For all who do these things are an abomination unto Jehovah, and because of these abominations Jehovah your God is dispossessing them before you.

You shall not bring the wages of prostitution or the price of a dog into the house of Jehovah your God for any vow, for both of these are an abomination unto Jehovah your God.

then her former husband who sent her away cannot take her back to be his wife after she has been defiled; for that is an abomination before Jehovah, and you shall not bring sin upon the land which Jehovah your God is giving to you as an inheritance.

For all who do such things, all who do unrighteously, are an abomination unto Jehovah your God.

Jehovah tries the righteous; but His soul hates the wicked and the one who loves violence.
