Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.

Do not be hasty to leave his presence. Do not take a stand in an evil thing, for he does whatever pleases him;

Even a fool, when he is silent, is counted wise; and he who shuts his lips, as a man of understanding.

Look at me and be astonished; put your hand over your mouth.

Behold, I have been vile! What shall I answer You? I have put my hand to my mouth.

because in the word of a king is power; and who may say to him, What are you doing?

The nations shall see and be put to shame for all their might. They shall lay their hand over their mouth; their ears shall be deaf.

They shall lick the dust like a snake; they shall tremble out from their holes like ones that shrink back into the earth; they shall dread Jehovah our God; they shall fear because of You.

Now we know that whatever the Law says, it says to those who are under the Law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
