A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children, but the wealth of the sinner is treasured up for the just.

though he heaps up silver like dust, and provides clothing like clay;

he may provide it, but the just shall wear it, and the innocent shall divide up the silver.

For God gives wisdom, and knowledge, and joy to a man who is good in His sight. But to the sinner He gives labor, to collect and gather, that he may give to him who is good before God. This also is vanity and striving of spirit.

Take no usury or interest from him; but fear your God, that your brother may live with you.

if he has not given with usury nor taken any increase, but has withdrawn his hand from iniquity and executed true judgment between man and man;

if he has exacted usury or taken increase; shall he then live? He shall not live! If he has done any of these abominations, he shall die the death; his blood shall be upon him.

who has withdrawn his hand from the poor and not received usury or increase, but has executed My judgments and walked in My statutes; he shall not die for the iniquity of his father; he shall live life!

All the brothers of the poor man hate him; how much more do his friends go far from him? He pursues them with words, yet they are nowhere to be found.

And he shall restore fourfold for the lamb, because he has done this thing and because he had no pity.
