Trust in Jehovah with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding.

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?

For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, sexual perversions, murders,

All these evil things come from within and defile a man.

And Jesus said to them, All of you will be made to stumble because of Me this night, for it is written: I will strike the Shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.

Peter said to Him, Even if all are made to stumble, yet not I.

But he spoke more vehemently, If I need to die with You, I will not deny You! And they all said likewise.

Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the Law of God, nor indeed can be.

And to man He said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding.

and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show his works out of good conduct, in the meekness of wisdom.

This wisdom does not come down from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic.

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, fair, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.
