Hear, my son, and be wise, and guide your heart in the way.

so that you incline your ear to wisdom, and extend your heart to understanding;

if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures,

For Jehovah gives wisdom; out of His mouth come knowledge and understanding.

My son, pay attention to my wisdom; extend your ear to my understanding;

so that you may keep discretion, and your lips may guard knowledge.

Extend your ear and hear the words of the wise, and apply your heart to my knowledge,

So they come to you as people do, they sit before you as My people, and they hear your words, but they do not do them; for with their mouth they act out love, but their hearts go after their unjust gain.

Then He said to them, Therefore every scribe instructed concerning the kingdom of Heaven is like a householder who brings out of his treasure new and old things.

Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted Word, which has the power to save your souls.

For if anyone is a hearer of the Word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror;

But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in his deeds.
