The wicked are overthrown, and are gone; but the house of the righteous shall stand.

Scatter abroad the outburst of your anger; look upon everyone who is proud, and humiliate him.

Hide them in the dust together; bind their faces in darkness.

The Mighty God will likewise destroy you forever; He will take you away, and pluck you out of your tent, and has rooted you out of the land of the living. Selah.

Though Jehovah is on high, yet He gives attention to the lowly; but the proud He recognizes from afar.

For the day of Jehovah of Hosts shall come upon all the proud and lofty ones, and upon all that is lifted up; and it shall be brought low;

But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from the throne of his kingdom, and they took his glory from him.

Likewise you that are younger, be subject to your elders. Yes, all of you be subject to one another, and be clothed with humility, for God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.

for Jehovah your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great Mighty God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality nor takes a bribe.

He executes justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the sojourner, to give him food and clothing.

In His holy dwelling God is a father to the fatherless, and a judge for the widows.

God causes those who are alone to live in households; He delivers those who are bound into prosperity; but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

Jehovah watches over the sojourners; He relieves the fatherless and widow; but the way of the wicked He turns upside down.

Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
