The wise hears and increases learning, and the one of understanding gets wise counsel,

Give to a wise one, and he will become wiser; teach a just one, and he will increase in learning.

He that separates himself seeks his own desire; he breaks out against all sound wisdom.

The heart of the prudent acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.

He who gets wisdom loves his own soul; he who keeps understanding shall find good.

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.

Again, the kingdom of Heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells everything he has and buys that field.

Then He said to them, Therefore every scribe instructed concerning the kingdom of Heaven is like a householder who brings out of his treasure new and old things.

He who watches his mouth keeps his life; he who opens his lips wide shall have destruction.

A fool's mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul.

Whoever watches his mouth and his tongue keeps his soul from troubles.
