And Jehovah said, My Spirit shall not continually strive with man, for indeed it is in flesh to sin; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.

Will the Mighty God hear his cry when distress comes upon him?

There they cry out, but He does not answer, because of the arrogance of evil men.

They cried out for help, but there was no one to deliver; even to Jehovah, but He did not answer them.

And when you spread out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you. Even though you multiply prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood.

Therefore Jehovah says this: Behold, I will bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they shall cry to Me, I will not listen to them.

When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and grain offering, I will not accept them. But I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence.

Therefore I also will act in fury. My eye will not spare nor will I have pity; and though they cry in My ears with a loud voice, I will not hear them.

Then they shall cry out to Jehovah, but He will not answer them. He will even hide His face from them at that time, because they have done evil in their doings.

Therefore it has come to pass that, just as He called, and they would not hear; so they called, and I did not hear, says Jehovah of Hosts.

Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many works of power in Your name?

And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; depart from Me, you who work out lawlessness!

And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast; and the door was shut.

But he answered and said, Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.

When once the Master of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us, and He will answer and say to you, I do not know you, where you are from,

But He will say, I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.

You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your lusts.

When He killed them, then they sought after Him; and they returned and sought earnestly for the Mighty God.

Nevertheless they deceived Him with their mouths, and they lied to Him with their tongues;

I will go and return to My place until they confess their guilt and seek My face. In their affliction they will seek Me earnestly.

Come, and let us return to Jehovah. For He has torn, and He will heal us. He has stricken, and He will bind us up.

Then we shall know, we who follow on to know Jehovah. His going forth is established as the dawn. And He shall come to us as the rain, as the latter and former rain to the earth.
