How long will you rest, O sluggard? When will you arise out of your sleep?

And Moses and Aaron came in to Pharaoh and said to him, Thus says Jehovah the God of the Hebrews: How long will you refuse to humble yourself before Me? Let My people go, that they may serve Me.

And Jehovah said to Moses, How long do you refuse to keep My commandments and My Laws?

How long shall I bear with this evil congregation who complain against Me? I have heard the murmurings which the children of Israel grumble against Me.

Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.

and I saw among the simple ones, I observed among the children a young man lacking heart,

Whoever is simple, turn in here; and to the one lacking heart, she says to him:

Forsake simplicity, and live; and go in the way of understanding.

But he does not know that the spirits of the dead are there; the ones she summons are in the depths of Sheol.

Understand, you stupid ones among the people; and you fools, when will you be wise?

But go and learn what this means: I desire mercy and not sacrifice. For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you will find rest unto your souls.

For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her, how often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!

saying, If you had known, even you, at least in this your day, the things that make for your peace. But now they are hidden from your eyes.

And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him who hears say, Come. And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take of the Water of Life freely.

Surely He scorns the scorners, but He gives grace to the lowly.

A scorner seeks wisdom, and does not find it; but knowledge is easy to him who understands.

A scorner does not love one who corrects him, nor will he go to the wise.

Judgments are prepared for scorners, and stripes for the backs of fools.

When the scorner is punished, the simple is made wise; and when the wise is instructed, he receives knowledge.

What man is like Job, who drinks up derision like water,

Blessed is the man who has not walked in the counsel of the wicked, nor has stood in the way of sinners, nor has sat in the seat of the scornful.

knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts,

The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Because they hated knowledge and chose not the fear of Jehovah.

and say, How I have hated instruction, and my heart despised correction;

For everyone practicing evil hates the Light and does not come to the Light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
