And Jehovah said to him, What is that in your hand? He said, A staff.

And you shall take this staff in your hand, with which you shall do the signs.

And Moses said to Joshua, Choose some men and go fight against Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the staff of God in my hand.

Take the staff; you and your brother Aaron gather the congregation together. Speak to the rock before their eyes, and it shall produce water; thus you shall bring water for them out of the rock, and give drink to the congregation and their cattle.

And Moses took the staff from before Jehovah as He had commanded him.
