And Jehovah went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to shine on them, to go by day and night.

The pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night did not depart from before the people.

He spoke to them in the cloudy pillar; they kept His testimonies and the statutes He gave them.

And Jehovah spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. And he would return to the camp, and his servant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tent.

And there I will meet with you, and I will speak with you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are on the ark of the Testimony, everything which I will command you concerning the children of Israel.

And when He had made an end of speaking with him on Mount Sinai, He gave Moses two tablets of the Testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of God.

And no man shall come up with you, and let no man be seen throughout all the mountain; let neither flocks nor herds feed before that mountain.

And he said, If now I have found favor in Your eyes, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray, go among us, even though we are a stiff-necked people; and forgive our iniquity and our sin, and take us as Your possession.

And He finished talking with him, and God went up from Abraham.

And Jehovah went His way as soon as He had finished speaking with Abraham; and Abraham returned to his place.

And I will come down and speak with you there. And I will take of the Spirit that is upon you and will lay upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, that you not bear it yourself alone.

And the hand of Jehovah was upon me there, and He said to me, Arise, go forth into the plain, and there I will talk with you.
