So Manasseh caused Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to go astray, to do more evil than the nations whom Jehovah had destroyed before the children of Israel.

Take heed to yourself, that you not make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land where you are going, that it not be a snare in your midst.
