Keep yourself far away from a false matter; do not kill the innocent and righteous. For I will not justify the wicked.

You shall not testify a witness of falsehood against your neighbor.

You shall not go about as a talebearer among your people; nor shall you take a stand against the blood of your neighbor: I am Jehovah.

And the king said, And where is your master's son? And Ziba said to the king, Behold, he is staying in Jerusalem, for he has said, Today the house of Israel will restore the kingdom of my father to me.

And he has slandered your servant to my lord the king, but my lord the king is like the angel of God. Therefore do what is good in your eyes.

he who does not backbite with his tongue, nor does evil to his neighbor, nor takes up a reproach against his friend;

Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, I will annihilate; the one who has a haughty look and a proud heart, I will not endure.

What shall be given to you, or what shall be done to you, O deceitful tongue?

He who hides hatred with lying lips, and he who sends out a slander, is a fool.

An evildoer gives heed to false lips; a liar listens to a destructive tongue.

The north wind wrings out rain; so does an angry face a slanderous tongue.

For I have heard the whisperings of many, terror is all around. Proclaim, they say, and we will report it. Everyone at peace with me is watching for me to stumble and fall, saying, Perhaps he will be lured away, and we shall prevail against him, and shall take our revenge on him.

And if this comes to the governor's ears, we will persuade him and make you free from anxiety.

So they took the money and did as they were instructed; and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews to this day.

And why not say (as we are slanderously reported and as some affirm that we say), Let us do evil that good may come? Their condemnation is just.

You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

If a false witness rises up against any man to testify against him regarding apostasy,

And the judges shall investigate thoroughly, and indeed, if the witness is a false witness, who has testified falsely against his brother,

And those who remain shall hear and fear, and thereafter they shall not again commit such evil among you.

and seat two men, sons of worthlessness, before him to bear witness against him, saying, You have blasphemed God and the king. Then take him out, and stone him, that he may die.

They proclaimed a fast, and seated Naboth at the head of the people.

Do not deliver me over to the will of my enemies; for false witnesses have risen up against me, and such as breathe out violence.

Violent witnesses rose up; they asked of me things which I have not known.

a false witness who breathes lies, and he who spreads strife among brothers.

He who utters truth declares righteousness, but a false witness, deceit.

A false witness shall not go unpunished, and he who utters lies shall not escape.

A worthless witness scorns justice, and the mouth of the wicked devours iniquity.

A false witness shall perish, but the man who hears speaks enduringly.

Do not be a witness against your neighbor without cause, nor deceive with your lips.

A man who bears false witness against his neighbor is like a club, and a sword, and a sharp arrow.

He said to Him, Which? Jesus said, You shall not murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness,

Now the chief priests, the elders, and all the council sought false testimony against Jesus to put Him to death,

and said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God and to build it in three days.

Likewise the soldiers asked him, saying, And what shall we do? So he said to them, Do not intimidate anyone or accuse falsely, and be content with your wages.

And Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, Behold, Lord, I give half of my possessions to the poor; and whatever I have taken from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold.

Then they secretly induced men to say, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God.

They also set up false witnesses who said, This man does not cease to speak blasphemous words against this holy place and the Law;

Therefore, putting away lying, let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.

without natural affection, unyielding, slanderers, without self-control, savage, despisers of good,

having a good conscience, that when they speak against you as evildoers, those who falsely accuse your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed.

And I heard a loud voice saying in Heaven, Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.
