They do not despise a thief, if he steals to satisfy his soul when he is hungry.

But if he is found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the wealth of his house.

As the thief is ashamed when he is found out, so is the house of Israel ashamed; they, their kings, their rulers, and their priests, and their prophets;
