If the sun has risen upon him, there shall be guilt for his bloodshed. He shall make compensation to pay; if he has nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.

But if, in fact, it is stolen from him, he shall make restitution to the owner of it.

the owner of the pit shall make compensation; he shall give money to the owner, and the dead animal shall be his.

He shall give back that for which he labored, and shall not swallow it down; He shall have no enjoyment from the exchanges of his wealth.
