And this is the manner of the release: Every creditor who has loaned anything to his neighbor shall let it drop; he shall not exact it of his neighbor or his brother, because it has been proclaimed the release of Jehovah.

You shall not charge interest to your brother; interest on money or food or anything that is loaned at interest.

To a foreigner you may charge interest, but to your brother you shall not charge interest, that Jehovah your God may bless you in all to which you put your hand in the land which you are entering to possess.

There were also those who said, We have borrowed money for the king's tax on our fields and vineyards.

The wicked borrows and does not repay, but the righteous shows mercy and gives.

Give to him who asks of you, and from him who wants to borrow from you, do not turn away.

But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil.

then an oath of Jehovah shall be between them both, that he has not put his hand into his neighbor's goods; and the owner of it shall accept it, and he shall not make it good.

the owner of the pit shall make compensation; he shall give money to the owner, and the dead animal shall be his.

Whoever strikes the soul of a beast shall make good; soul for soul.
