Behold, You have made my days as a handbreadth, and my age is as nothing before You. Surely every man, even though standing tall, is total vanity. Selah.

Surely every man walks about like a shadow! Surely they are stirred up in vain. He heaps up the produce, and does not know who shall gather it.

How many are the days of Your servant? When will You execute judgment upon those who persecute me?

O remember that my life is a breath; my eye will never return to see good.

Now my days are swifter than a runner; they flee away, they see no good.

They pass by like swift ships, like an eagle swooping on its food.

Remember, I beseech You, that You have made me like clay. And will You bring me back and return me to dust?

Man is like a breath; his days are like a shadow that vanishes.

Man who is born of woman is of few days, and full of turmoil.

whereas you do not know what will be tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.
