My covenant I will not break, nor alter what has gone forth out of My lips.

His seed is forever, and his throne as the sun before Me;

And I said, This is my weakness; the years of the right hand of the Most High.

I said in my haste, All men are liars.

Jesus answered and said to him, What I am doing you do not understand now, but you will come to understand after this.

You have made his glory to cease, and hurled his throne down to the ground.

They have set fire to Your sanctuary; they have defiled to the ground the dwelling place of Your name.

For the enemy has persecuted my soul; he has crushed my life to the ground; he has made me dwell in darkness, like those long dead.

And the fortress of the high fort of your walls He will lay low, bring down to the ground, to the dust.

Therefore I will defile the rulers of the sanctuary, and will give Jacob to the curse, and Israel to reproaches.
