But You have cast us off and put us to shame, and You do not go forth with our armies.

You have given us up like sheep for food, and have scattered us among the nations.

You make us a reproach to our neighbors, a scorn and derision to those who are round about us.

My disgrace is daily before me, and the shame of my face has covered me,

All this has come upon us; yet we have not forgotten You, nor dealt falsely with Your Covenant.

though You have crushed us in the place of dragons and covered us with the shadow of death.

shall not God search this out? For He knows the secrets of the heart.

Awake! Why do You sleep, O Lord? Arise! Do not cast us off forever.

For our soul is bowed down to the dust; our belly clings to the earth.

Have not You, O God, cast us off? And will not You, O God, go out with our armies?

Will the Lord cast off forever? And will He be pleased no more?

As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind; for Jehovah searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever.

Righteous are You, O Jehovah, when I complain to You; yet let me speak with You about Your judgments. Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why are all those who deceive with treachery at ease?

So Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, and took away the treasures of the house of Jehovah and the treasures of the king's house; he took everything. He also carried away the gold shields which Solomon had made.

And whenever the king entered the house of Jehovah, the runners went and brought them out; then they returned them to the guardroom.

The breath of our nostrils, the anointed of Jehovah, was captured in their pits; of whom we said, Under his shadow we shall live among the nations.

Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, and against the Man who is My Associate, says Jehovah of Hosts. Strike the Shepherd and the sheep will be scattered. And I will turn My hand on the little ones.
