And Jehovah said to him, Therefore, whoever kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken upon him sevenfold. And Jehovah set a mark on Cain, so that anyone finding him should not kill him.

And if you walk contrary to Me, and are not willing to obey Me, I will bring upon you seven times more plagues, according to your sins.

then I also will walk contrary to you in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.

who say, Keep to yourself, do not come near me; for I am holier than you. These are a smoke in My nose, a fire that burns all the day.

your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, says Jehovah, who have burned incense on the mountains, and blasphemed Me on the hills. Therefore I will measure their former work into their bosom.

You show lovingkindness to thousands, and repay the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their sons after them. The great, the strong and Mighty God, Jehovah of Hosts, is His name,

Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over it will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.

because of the voice of him who reproaches and reviles; before the enemy and avenger.

Remember this, that the enemy has reproached, O Jehovah, and that the foolish people have blasphemed Your name.

Have regard to the covenant; for the dark places of the earth are full of the abode of violence.

Arise, O God, plead Your own case; remember the daily reproaches of the fool.
