When I choose the appointed time, I will judge with equity.

i1 [A Psalm of David.] i0 par I will sing of mercy and justice; unto You, O Jehovah, will I make music.

I will set nothing wicked before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me.

Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, I will annihilate; the one who has a haughty look and a proud heart, I will not endure.

He who works deceit shall not dwell within my house; he who tells lies shall not be established in my sight.

Thus David reigned over all Israel; and David was executing justice and righteousness to all his people.

Now if you walk before Me as your father David walked, in integrity of heart and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded you, and if you keep My statutes and My judgments,

because David had done what was right in the eyes of Jehovah, and had not turned aside from anything that He had commanded him all the days of his life, except in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.

And the Spirit of Jehovah shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Jehovah.

But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, and shall decide with equity for the meek of the earth. And He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, and with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.

And when He had removed him, He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He bore witness and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.

For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell asleep, was buried with his fathers, and saw corruption;

And Solomon said: You have shown great mercy to Your servant David my father, because he walked before You in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with You; You have continued this great kindness for him, and You have given him a son sitting on his throne, as it is this day.

And Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a people too numerous to be numbered or counted for multitude.

And Jehovah said to Me, Take to yourself yet the vessels of a foolish shepherd.

Woe to the worthless shepherd who abandons the flock! The sword shall be against his arm and against his right eye. His arm shall be completely dried up, and his right eye shall be totally darkened.

Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being out of ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God,

who also made us able ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit makes alive.

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
